About Jake
Born in a small town in rural Rhode Island, Jake has been on the stage since he was 8 years old. Working to greatly impact small community theatres in his state became a passion, going from the stage to directing to producing and back to the stage. Originally pursuing a passion in Theatre, Jake attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City for four years where he received his BA in theatre performance and direction. Towards the end of his career he took an extensive interest in film and TV work and immediately moved to Los Angeles to prove himself. Within two weeks of being in Los Angeles, Jake began working on the final season of Modern Family at Fox Studios, doing both background and stand in work where he earned his SAG eligibility. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Jake is eager to tell new and important stories. He is considered by his peers a comedy expert, having focused heavily on Commedia Dell’Arte during his training to learn all about the importance of timing. He also takes pride in his appreciation for realism and naturalism which he believes is a crucial understanding to good acting.
